This website took root in 2002 in the “joint laboratory” CNRS / Bayer CropScience (BCS, Lyon, France) within the Dr. Dominique Job group (Dr. Loïc Rajjou, Webmaster) who investigates seed biology by proteomic approaches. The joint laboratory CNRS / Bayer CropScience has been created at the instigation of both private and public partners to encourage the development of novel agronomic solutions by the reinforcement of the interactions and exchanges between fundamental and applied research. The joint laboratory CNRS / Bayer CropScience has acquired an internationally recognized expertise in plant, seed, and fungus-physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology. This knowledge and expertise has been applied in the fields of herbicides, fungicides, seed treatments and agronomic and quality traits. Because of the status of this laboratory, research actions have always been planned in common, taking into account interest of both public and private partners. This success is due to a volunteer effort for developing pluri-disciplinary approaches involving researchers of different cultures, acting on common projects. This web interface presents seed proteomics data obtained in this laboratory from 2001 to 2007. From 2007, this website includes also seed proteomic data obtained in the Pr. Marc Jullien group in the within the laboratory of seed biology “INRA / AgroParisTech”. Since 2010, this website is incremented by seed proteomic data generated by the Loïc Rajjou's research activities within the Jean Pierre Bourgin Institute (IJPB, UMR1318 INRA/AgroParisTech).
